Very different from every other brush I've used. Read about it in a NYT Wirecutter review and am so glad I bought it. The back is mostly empty space, just enough lattice-shaped plastic to hold the bristles, so blow drying is a breeze (no pun intended). The parallel alignment of the bristles allows them to flow thru both wet and dry hair with little to no snagging/tangling. Very easy to remove hair from around bristles, so brush is always clean. I have long, fine, straight hair and seem to be pulling fewer hairs out when brushing. Love this brush!
